Blessings

For the last 6 months Dr. Dad and My Dad have been working on a boat. A boat that was really REALLY ugly when it was first accquired. The boat is circa 1970's and was mustard, banana boat yellow. Want proof?

FUGLY, right? I thought they were a little insane when they started this project because I quite obviously could not understand their "vision." So, many, many, MANY hours later that monster up there has been turned into a beautiful little boat.

So last weekend we had My Dad's boat packed up and this little baby all packed up ready to go on it's maiden voyage. We were excited, the kids were excited, and we were all praying this little boat would float!!! We get to the lake, pull up for inspections and My Dad's boat fails. Well, crap! But we were still hopeful because all we really wanted to do was get the restored boat on the water. FAIL. Yup, both boats failed because they were wet inside. Weird right? It's a boat, boats get wet, but apparently here in Cali, that's frowned upon!! We FINALLY got the boats in the water the next weekend and had an absolute BLAST. Have lots of pics to post but these are some of my favorites!!
